South Korean AI Chip Startup FuriosaAI Secures $125 Million Funding Round
South Korean AI chip startup FuriosaAI has secured $125 million in a Series C round of funding, with investors including Korea Development Bank, Industrial Bank of Korea, Kakao Investment, Keistone Partners, and PI Partners. The funding will be used to scale production of its AI inference chip RNGD and develop the next-generation chip. FuriosaAI’s CEO, June Paik, previously worked at Samsung Electronics and AMD. The startup’s current valuation stands at $735 million.
